Our Feature Artist

The Artist's Trading Card Cafe will be featuring talented artist's who enjoy creating and trading! Please enjoy their perspective and the lovely images of the work they create and share with others. This month, I am honored to feature Corinne Marie. Corinne makes beautiful collage art, and mixed media. I love the vivid colors and layering that she combines! Her work is both inspiring and soulful!

Feature Artist: Corinne Marie

From: Johnson, Vermont (but born in San Diego, Calif!)

My favorite materials for ATC’s are combinations of images and backgrounds. Basically collage. I love collage and mixed media. The layers build up until you have a creation. I am very fond of vintage and Victorian images and I love women’s stories. If I can combine these two I feel the ATC has life. At first, I really did not think I could do ATC’s. I questioned the smallness and how could you make art on something so small. But I just started, and my first ones were, well not the best, but as time went by and I kept doing it things started to blend and flow.

I love the trading with other artists. It’s one of the best parts of doing it. It’s a great idea doing it for art and not about money or fame. In that, we are all famous, as we are open enough to share our work with others. It’s one of the best parts of doing art for me. Connection is always a work of art!!
